The client had recently moved from a beach front home and wanted to bring some of the features of that property to their new Delta home. Groundforce designed and built a unique custom outdoor fireplace made from locally quarried Whistler basalt, and floating steps to the hot tub of basalt with black steel.

Groundforce did the complete landscape design & installation which in-cluded a paving stone driveway and paving stone walkways and patios in the back yard. Basalt was then dry-stacked to build retaining walls, and set on edge to provide a definitive border between lawn and garden.

The planting scheme included some unique and beautiful specimens. Clumping Bamboos were used to add privacy along the property line; Southern Flowering Magnolias make a bold and beautiful statement in the front yard; and column shaped Yews define the patios perimeter.
